Hello everyone. My name is Jeremy Quiring, father of two and a guidance counsellor in Anglophone East School District. I recently had a one year contract counselling with APSEA across New Brunswick and, in doing so, I was in a position to look for referrals for some of the clients I had. Outside of schools, I was unable to find an organization that was able to offer free counselling for youth like Atlantic Wellness. It is a valuable, one-of-a-kind counselling service for our youth in some of their most formative and difficult stages of life. This is something I value personally and professionally. I’m proud to support this service we have in the Greater Moncton Area.
I have been a supporter of Atlantic Wellness since day 1. At that time, I was a member of another non-profit mental health organization and I saw firsthand the gap in mental health services available to youth in our region, and the lengthy wait time to receive those few services that were offered.
The work the team at Atlantic Wellness has done to increase awareness of the need for more mental health services to be available for youth and young adults, the counselling hours they have provided, and the proactive programs they have established in Southeastern New Brunswick - at no cost to the clients - are testaments to how dedicated and caring they all are. I am proud to be a regular donor to the centre and grateful for its existence. - Laurie Fisher
