The Teen We Couldn’t Help—And the Ones You Still Can.
A message from Steve Mitton, Board Chair, Atlantic Wellness
I still see his face.
He was 15. Kind. Bright. But quietly falling apart.
I met him when I worked in the school system. By the time anyone realized how much he was hurting, it was too late. There was nowhere to turn. No Atlantic Wellness.
I carry that story every day. Lost potential. Lost future.
Now, more teens are reaching out. Scared. Overwhelmed. Out of options.
You can feel it, can’t you? Where this is heading.
It’s the same story, over and over—until someone steps in.
Before I step down as Board Chair on May 15th , I’m asking: Please give now, today if possible. They need you. And we can’t afford to miss another one.
