Our Team



Andrew LeBlanc: Executive Director

Andrew has worked with children and youth for the past 15 years in a variety of capacities. Most recently, he served as the Program Director for the Boys & Girls Club of Riverview overseeing all program operations. Andrew has experience working on regional and national projects as well as building community partnerships. He serves on the Board for the Riverview Arts Centre and Neighbourhood Watch. He has also facilitated youth councils with the both the Town of Riverview and United Way and has sat on the Riverview Crime Prevention Committee.

Danielle Whalen: Director of Clinical Services & Counselling Therapist

Danielle received her Masters in Counselling Psychology in 2005 and is registered as a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) as well a Licensed Counselling Therapist in New Brunswick (LCT). Danielle has over 20 years experience working with children, youth, and families in various capacities. She is the Director of Clinical Services at Atlantic Wellness and is the clinical supervisor for the internship program. Danielle is also an approved supervisor for the College of Counselling Therapists of New Brunswick.

Meredith Martell: Community Engagement Coordinator

Meredith has been working with youth with various diagnoses and difficulties for the last 11 years. During this time, she specialized in developing behavior plans for families, guardians, schools, and other community stakeholders. She also specialized in academic learning plans, social skills, communication skills, as well as developing collaboration between parents and other team members.

Julie Asiron: Director of Development 

Julie Asiron graduated from Dalhousie University with a degree in Metallurgical Engineering. She was a board member of the Unicorn Children’s Center for 3 years and volunteered for the Curryville Community Center for 2 years. Julie has been a part of Atlantic Wellness from the beginning, first as a board member and volunteer grant writer, and now as an employee.

Jessica Taplin: Counselling Therapist

Jessica is a Certified Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) and Licensed Counselling Therapist Candidate (LCP-C). She joined the team as a Counselling Therapist in September 2017. She has a Masters of Education degree in Counselling from the University of New Brunswick. Prior to completion of her Master’s degree, she worked within the school system for over 5 years and she has experience working with youth in a variety of different educational and counselling backgrounds.

Kelli Etheridge: Counselling Therapist

Kelli Etheridge is a Licensed Counselling Therapist (LCP) in New Brunswick
and a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC). Kelli has over 20 years of
experience working with families one-on- one, as well as facilitating a variety
of parenting/wellness programs within the community. She joined the team
at the Atlantic Wellness Community Center as a Counselling Therapist in
June, 2017.

Jeremy Varner: Counselling Therapist

Jeremy graduated in 2019 with a Masters degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. He is a Certified Counsellor (C.C.C.) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). Prior to completion of his Masters degree, he worked within a variety of settings including work with Family Enrichment, the John Howard Society, and as a college instructor. Jeremy has several years of experience working with children, youth, and families.
